Courting the Fire Demon

Chapter 1

1

          I looked out the window daydreaming again. I was in college in the middle Math class thinking about the fire demon that had came into my life and had never left my mind ever sense the ninth grade.

            "Ms. Shiunsai! Care to pay attention!" My math teacher, Mrs. Toyota, yelled snapping her yardstick that she was using for pointing out things, against her hand.

            "Oh yes...sorry." I said putting my hand behind my head and giving a sheepish look.

            "And I'm sure it won't happen again!" Mrs. Toyota barked.

            "Yeah sure." I grumbled.

            "What was that!"

            "I didnt say anything."

            Mrs. Toyota glared at me evilly as she turned around and started to talk again.

            The bell rang and I jumped up from my chair and grabbed my homework. I ran down the small steps and out the door before the teacher could stop me. Running still I ran all the way down the hall to the front door where I was told to meet Kagami, my twin sister.

            "Sorry I'm late...the math teacher is not to fond of me." I said as I approached Kagami.

            "Don't worry about it...I know how you feel." Kagami said. "We have to hurry. I told Yusuke we'd meet him and the others on the public college's rooftop."

            "Going some where ladies?"

            Kagami and I turned around to have the principle, Ms. Smith, standing behind us.

            "It is only third period." She said.

            "Uh...we...we just came out to get some fresh air." Kagami laughed nervously.

            "Yeah...fresh air." I said nervously.

            "Don't think I don't know about those trips you been making to that school."

            Kagami and I didn't say anything. We just looked at each other and shrugged as if we didn't know what she was talking about.

            We followed Ms. Smith back inside and to the Social Studies room where we were supposed to be.

            "So they decided to join us today? Well class this is something you don't see every day like we're SUPPOSED too." Mr. Smith, the Social Studies teacher said. He watched Kagami and me pick a seat up front by the window before winking and blowing a kiss to his wife.

            Kagami and I shuddered in unison before Kagami whispered, "We have another case. We can't be late...this is major."

            "We can't get kicked out of this school! Keiko worked to hard to get us in, and if we ditch now we're screwed." I whispered keeping my eye on Mr. Smith to make sure he didn't notice us talking.

            We both looked out the window and saw Hiei, Kurama, Kuwabara, and Yusuke looking through the gates in front of the school, waiting for us.

            I started to smile as I gazed at Hiei until he looked up at me. I quickly straitened up and shrugged my shoulders as if to say "we can't".

            "Ms. Ayame and Kagami Shiunsai! I see you two are paying so much attention that you should answer the question I just asked the class." Mr. Smith snapped.

            I was about to say whatever excuse came out of my mouth when the fire alarm went off. As everyone scrambled I look out the window to see Hiei jump off the gate and stand back down with Yusuke and the others.

            Hiei looked up at Kagami and me and flashed us a fanged smirk.

            I felt the heat rise to my head. "Hiei is so cute." I said to Kagami as she gazed down with me.

            "Hiei?" Kagami said in a bit of a disgusted voice. "He's so mean. Kurama is such a dream boat."

            "Kurama?" I said about to make a comment before I heard Mr. Smith shout our names.

            "Get out of here!" He yelled.

            I watched as Mr. Smith ran off before I opened the window and jumped out landing on my feat perfectly. I made sure Kagami was behind me as I ran and jumped the gate to meet with the boys.

            "Smooth. I thought we would never get out of there." I said to Hiei.

            Hiei turned around, crossing his arms, and grunted. "Hn." He snarled.

            I turned to see Kagami talking to Kurama as they walked slowly down the street without the rest of us.

            "Wait!" I heard some one yell from our school.

            I looked through the gates to see Yukina running towards us. I smiled and looked at Hiei who suddenly snapped his attention towards her. Perfect time to show off my skills. I thought. I walked up to the gate. "Wait Yukina." I said as I stood at the pad lock. I typed in a number and the gate opened. "Okay...it's a lot better than trying to climb it."

            "Thank you Ayame. That was really kind of you." Yukina said to me.

            "No problem. I'm a great computer hacker." I said waving a hand in front of me to show that thanks wasn't necessary. I turned to Hiei who was looking at me weirdly.

            "Come on you guys." Yusuke said. "We have to catch up to Kurama and Kagami."

"Yeah. Why are you guys standing around? We're already late." Kuwabara said rudely.

            "Kuwabara you nitwit. Will you ever stop complaining?" I said in a rude tone. I watched as Hiei flashed me a fanged smirk at the remark I just made.

            "Don't be to hard on him...he just wants to get to Koenma's to start our case." Yukina said in her regular soft-spoken voice.

            "The case will get done." I said. "But sometimes I think he doesn't have a brain."

            "Hey! I have a brain!" Kuwabara yelled.

            "Okay so you do have a brain...but you don't use it." I laughed. I looked at Hiei who was still giving a fanged smirk.

            "She's right. You don't use it...I think you're to stupid to use it." Hiei said in an amused tone.

            I did it! I got on Hiei's good side! I exclaimed in my mind.

            Lets go! Yusuke yelled after he laughed at the comment.

           " Well this is something new." Koenma said hovering above his desk. "Having to wait on you instead of Hiei."

            "Sorry Koenma. We couldnt get out of class." I said sitting on the corner of his desk.

"I know about the teacher incidentI was referring to you when you were making those comments to Kuwabara." He said to me.

            That was necessary though. I pleaded thinking back at how Hiei laughed at my rude gestures.

            "I also noticed something else when you were in school that I would like to discuss with you later. But for now I have terrible news. A virus is going around and we need you to get to the bottom of the case." Koenma explained.

            "A virus? Like a sickness?" Yukina asked.

            "Yes but its not your common cold. This virus starts out with the symptoms of a fever and then the heart seems to stop and how should I put this explode." He finished.

            "So who started this?" Yusuke asked.

            "We dont know. But what we do know is that it had to start from a Koorime maiden." Koenma said looking over at Yukina.

            "Maybe Yukina has the sickness." Kuwabara said.

            "Dont be silly. She cant other wise youd have it Kuwabara." Koenma said.

            "So whats the antidote?" I asked wanting to get on with the case.

            "Thats the other thing you have to figure out." Koenma said.

            "What!" I yelled standing up. "If we have no more clues to this I'm not going! What if I catch it!"

            "You cant." Koenma said with a smile. "Fire Youkais seem to be unaffected."

            "So thats an easy solution then." Yusuke said. "Inject some blood of a Fire Youkai into their systems."

            "That would be a good solution but it cant work that way. We cant give more then two doses of a Fire Youkais blood to a human otherwise it will clash their DNA."

            I looked around the room and laughed. Great. This is just fucking great.

            "This is a case for Yusuke, Hiei, and Ayame." Koenma said.

            "What! I'm a Fire Youkai!" Kagami exclaimed.

            "But were going to need your blood to cure some humans until they get back. So you, Kurama, and Yukina have to stay here and find the one that did this."

            "Wait sir." Botan said. "Yusuke should stay with the others. We might need him. News just came in the one that did this is on earth."

            "What! I have to stay here!" Yusuke yelled.

            "And there is still a fifty percent chance that Yusuke can still catch the disease. Only it will go through his system a tad bit slower, but it will be more painful." Botan said.

            "Well. Looks like Ayame and Hiei have to find the antidote." Koenma said.

            "What about me!" Kuwabara yelled.

            "Keiko and you have to stay here. It will surely be a horrible thing if you two catch that virus." Botan said.

            "So all of you on your ways." Koenma said.

            Hiei and I were the last ones in the room and were about to leave when Koenma stopped us.

            "Oh Ayame. I would like to talk to you in private for a moment please." He said. "Hiei will you wait outside the door?"

            "Hn." Hiei grumbled walking through the door and shutting it behind him.

            "Ive noticed something these past few years youve been with us." Koenma started.

            I sat on his desk and yawned. "And that is?" I asked flicking my black hair off my shoulder.

            "Youve taken a liking to Hiei." Koenma said looking at me with his hands behind his back.

            A blush crept across my face as he smiled. "I uh kind of." I said in a baby tone fidgeting with my fingers.

            "I hope you wont be too into him that it will get in the way of this mission." Koenma said.

            I knew he was going to be watching Hiei and I the most until this mission is over. "It never has before." I mumbled.

            Koenma laughed then turned away from me again. "You are a very pretty girl but to have you know it will take a lot more than your looks to get Hiei's attention." He said. "Youre dismissed."

            I stood up off his desk and slowly walked to the door and opened it a crack before Koenma stopped me again.

            "Oh and Ayame," He said. "Good luck."

            "Thank you." I said quietly before walking out the door.

            "And what took so long." I heard Hiei snap from behind me.

            My back stiffened and I quickly turned around. "No-nothing." I stuttered as my heart thumped hard against my chest. "You startled me."

            "Well we better get going." Hiei said looking at me as if he knows I was hiding something.

            I nodded and started after him. "Can we stop by my place first? I want to get a few things." I said.

I opened the door to my apartment and let Hiei in stumbling with my keys. "Well this is where I live." I said walking in and passing him as he slowly walked and looked around. I walked over to a door and opened it.

            "Where you sleep I presume." Hiei said from behind me when I walked into the small room.

            "Uh yes. Well, where I'm supposed to sleep. I usually stay with my sister inside her room at our college." I said walking over to my closet.

            "Why do you go to school? I think its a waste of time. You could come on more cases if you didnt go." Hiei said as he picked up the tear gem that Yukina gave to me when I saved her.

            "To get a good job." I said.

            "For what?" He asked.

            "To get money to pay for food and this apartment." I said as I dug through some clothes in my closet. I reached out and finally I found my Caster. I aimed it at a box and put my finger on the trigger. I smiled and tossed it on my bed just to start digging through my closet again.

            "And whats this for?" Hiei asked.

            I couldnt see him so I figured he meant the Caster. My Caster? "Just in case." I said. I found my katana in the back of the closet and grabbed it. I climbed out of the small closet tying it around my waist. "But I think Ill be using this more." I said patting my katana that was on my left side.

            "What is it?" Hiei asked flipping my Caster back and forth in his hands.

            "A Caster. You see you pull this back and you squeeze this and it will blow what ever it hits into smithereens." I said pointing to the trigger. I watched as he held it in his right hand and aimed it at the wall. I quickly pulled it down. "Not an inside thing." I said. I was about to take it from him, but I stopped as our hands touched. I felt his gaze and I took the gun away and put it on my right hip in its holster.

            "Ready?" I heard him ask impatiently.

            "I have to get one more thing." I said. "I have regular Caster Shells, but we have to find one that looks like thisonly black." I held up an oval bullet that was silver.

            "You mean this?" Hiei said holding up the Caster Shell that I was looking for.

            "Yes." I said as I took it out of his hand. "Where was it?"

            "On this." He said pointing to my dresser and turning around, walking out of the small room.

            "Let me change before we leave." I said as I shut my bedroom door. I pulled off my sailor-type outfit and pulled on tight fitting black leather jeans and a black spaghetti strap belly top. I looked at myself in the mirror and decided to pull my hair back in a ponytail. I walked out of the room to have my ears filled with a blast of rock music.

            Hiei had been messing with my stereo. I ran over to him as he put his hands over his ears. I turned it off quickly and heard a knock on the door. I shut the glass door to my radio and walked over to my front door. Before I could, Hiei ran ahead of me, drew his katana and he opened the front door. He put his katana to my neighbors neck.

            "Hiei Hiei its okay its just John Roberts!" I said grabbing his arm and pulling on it.

            Hiei finally put his katana away as I stood in front of him. "I am so sorry for him John. He is very over protective." I said.

            "I just wanted to ask for your radio to be turned down." John said.

            "It'll never happen again. Were leaving for a very long vacation." I said.

            "You wont come to dinner with me, but you'll go on a vacation with a stranger?" John said trying to sound poor.

            "Hiei here is not a stranger. I knew him sense I was fourteen." I said making sure he didnt try to come in my house. "But were on our way out the door so you better go."

            "Please introduce us properly." John said.

            "Oh this is Hiei Jaganshi." I said. An evil thought came to my mind. "We are soon to be engaged."

            "Oh well you never told me you had a boyfriend. I thought he was your brother." John said.

            "Well you better go we're in a hurry." I said pushing John away from my door. I watched Hiei walk out slowly before I locked the door. I walked quickly down the hall and walked into the elevator. As soon as the doors closed I felt Hiei's cold gaze.

            "Why did you say that to him?" Hiei asked rudely.

            "I'm sorry if you felt uncomfortable. Its just that guy really gets on my nerves. He's always trying to get in my house and try to sleep with me." I said as the elevator opened.

            "Whats the harm in sleeping with people? Its not like you're having sex." Hiei said following me to the street.

            A blush crept across my face. "I dont think you understand me. When I said sleep I meant to have sex." I said trying to be quiet about it.

            "Why didnt you just say so." Hiei said walking a little faster to catch up to me.

            "I didn't want to be rude. Its the polite way of saying it." I said. "Now about our mission. Where do we start?"

            It's funny I said that because at that moment Botan came running up to us. She stopped and put her hands on her knees breathing deep. "The antidote its in Koorime." She said taking a breath in between her words.

            "Well that takes our search down a few months." I said putting my hands behind my head.

            Botan stood up and smiled. "You two will do fine finding the crystals." She said.

            "Crystals?" Hiei asked.

            "Yes. These are special crystals. They used to be blue fire until something happened they froze. And if you melt these crystals they cure the virus that effected the Koorime maidens." Botan explained. "I have to get back to Yusuke and the others. Good luck."

            I watched as she started to run off again. Okay that was weird. I said. Well, I guess that means we better go to Koorime.

            "Blue fire frozen?" Hiei was questioning himself.

Chapter 2

1

            I yawned as we walked through Makai with my hands behind my head and my mind in the clouds. We were about a hundred and thirty miles away from our destination and as hot as hell. I sighed and stuck my tongue out of my mouth and slouched.

            "I'm thirsty." I whined.

            Hiei looked at me weirdly and handed me a canteen.

            "You never told me you had water." I said after taking a big gulp and tightening the lid.

            "Hn. You never asked." He said taking his canteen back. "And that wasnt water."

            I stopped as I started to see blurs. I heard myself hick-up as a funny smile appeared on my face and I started to stumble.

            "I shouldnt have gave her that." I heard Hiei say in slurred words.

            I watched as a blurred Hiei walked over to me and said something that I couldnt quite make out. "What you said." I managed as he rolled his eyes. I felt a little queasy as I fell to my knees. I couldn't feel my legs. Suddenly I started to laugh uncontrollably as Hiei packed me over his shoulder.

            I woke up not remembering when I went to sleep. I was lying on cold grass with a fire lighting the area with something cooking over it. I sat up and rubbed my eye looking at Hiei sit across from me with the other.

            "I was getting tired of packing you around." Hiei said taking a bite of some kind of meat.

            I heard my stomach rumble, as I smelled a very delicious smell.

            "Hn. Help yourself." Hiei said taking another bite.

As I took off a piece of my own meat I smiled. "This is really good." I said.

"Better be. Took one hell of a struggle to kill it with you over my shoulder." He said sitting back and watching me eat.

"What is it?" I asked biting a piece of meat off of a rib.

"A doe. The coating is blood." He said in a usual tone.

I had another piece in my mouth and for some reason I started to chew slower. WhyI dont know. Its not like I had never eaten or drunken blood before. Maybe it was the thought that it was just a poor defenseless doe.

"What? Does it make your stomach turn to know that its blood?" Hiei teased giving a fanged smirk.

"No. I just never ate a deer before thats all." I said taking another bite. I didnt necessarily lie. The blood wasn't an issue. "By the way, what did I drink earlier?"

"My own mixture of alcohol. It had some of the hard lemonade in it, Jose Cuervo, and ginger water. I mixed it all together boiled itand rapidly cooled it." Hiei explained taking a small drink of it. "You're not supposed to take that much at a time."

"There had to be more than that." I said taking another bite of the meat. "I mean come on, something that kicked in that fast."

Hiei raised an eyebrow and then flashed a fanged smirk. "Good observations." He said lowering his eyebrow. "I mixed in some of this white powder I found in Yusuke's pocket."

I stopped for a second and then started to laugh. "You're kidding right?" I laughed.

Hiei looked at me with no expression on his face. "No, I'm not." He said calmly.

I stopped laughing and looked at him as if he were nuts. "Do you know what that was?" I asked as he took another small sip of the drink.

"No, but it made me feel funny when I sniffed it." He said looking as if he was thinking about it.

"Well thats what youre supposed to do with it. You just mixed in Yusuke's whole supply of cocaine. Hes going to be pissed once he realizes its gone." I said.

"Cocaine?" Hiei asked.

"Yes. Its a drug. You sniff it and it makes you feel good." I explained. I watched as Hiei looked inside his canteen, shrugged, and took another small sip.

"Its still good." Hiei said.

I started to laugh. "You really need to get out more often." I said with a yawn. "I'm going to sleep now. See you in the morning."

Before I closed my eyes I looked at Hiei who was starring at me as he leaned back on his arms with his legs kicked out. He had a curious look on his face right before my eyes closed and I went to sleep.

I woke up for the second time that night not being able to go to sleep this time Hiei was awake.

"Ready to get going?" He asked as I sat up and rubbed my eyes.

"What time is it?" I asked covering my mouth as I yawned.

"I'd say about four or five in the morning." Hiei said standing up and dusting off his clothes.

I yawned again and stretched before standing up. I turned around and bent down to pick up my bag. Before I stood back up I looked over my shoulder to have Hiei standing behind me with his mouth open and his eyes wide. He saw that I was looking at him with an eyebrow raised and he quickly turned around. I stood up and smiled as I put on my sunglasses. I swung my bag over my shoulder and started to walk off ahead of Hiei.

"We should be entering Koorime in about two days." Hiei started. "But if we speed up a bit we can be there in half the time."

I turned around to face him and slid my sunglasses down my nose so I could look over them at him. "No way can I keep up with you." I said putting a hand on my hip and leaning to the side.

Hiei gave a fanged smirk and grabbed my wrist. "Sure you can." He said. He picked me up in his arms and started to run.

I looked around and all I saw was blurs as he ran. I felt a little sick and it started getting a little bit chilly. "Hiei! I think I'm gonna vomit!" I yelled.

Hiei instantly stopped and dropped me on the ground. When I feel on my butt I looked up at him and scolded.

"Thanks a lot." I said standing up and rubbing my butt.

"That wasn't the best of plans." Hiei said looking around and staring at something.

I turned to see what he was looking at and gasped. Some one with yellow-green skin and red eyes with no hair stood there with a smug smile on their face.

"So we meet again Hiei." The yellow-green demon said.

I turned to Hiei who had my Caster in his hands. He was aiming it at the demon.

            "Hiei!" I exclaimed. "You cant use that! Do you know how much those bullets cost!"

            "I just want to use one to get rid of this creep once and for all." Hiei said still aiming the gun at the demon.

            I sighed and looked at Hiei as if he were nuts. He was holding the gun like a cop and I had to admit he looked drop dead sexy. I came back to my senses and asked, Who is this guy?

            "This creep was the one who stole your tear gem." Hiei said.

            I looked at Hiei weirdly and then it hit me. I checked my pockets and my neck for it not to be there.

            "Looking for this?" The demon said holding up my tear gem.

            "Give that back! Yukina gave that to me!" I yelled.

            Hiei aimed the Caster at the demon and took a shot for it to miss.

            "Hiei no! Thatll surely blow him and everything he has with him into smithereens!" I exclaimed.

            Hiei snarled and tossed the Caster at me as he drew his katana. He charged at the demon and sliced his arm.

            I drew my katana eager to help, but it was to late. Hiei had at that moment sliced the demon in half. He ripped the chain with my tear gem out of the demon's hand and walked back to me. "Here." He said handing me the chain.

            "Thank you. This means the world to me." I said taking the gem and pressing it to my chest where my heart was.

            "Why?" He asked as I tried putting it around my neck.

            "Because. Yukina gave it to me. It represents joy." I said still trying to get it on.

            Hiei motioned for me to turn around. As I obeyed he moved my hair out of the way and clipped the two ends of the chain together for me.

            "Thanks." I said looking at the gem and back at Hiei.

            "Hn." Hiei grumbled as he crossed his arms across his chest. "I dont get you."

            I looked at him as I raised my eyebrow. "What do you mean?" I asked.

            "I mean what I said." Hiei said.

            "I know, but what did you mean by it?" I asked trying to make him stop looking away from me.

            "You're confusing. Girls are confusing but you you're weird." He said.

            I narrowed my eyes at him. "And what do you mean by that!" I snapped putting my hands on my hips.

            "You have a certain change of smells when ever you notice I'm around. Like when you were sleeping you had a different smell then when you woke up." Hiei explained.

I looked at him with a blush spreading across my face.

            He looked at me curiously again. "See that smell just got stronger. Now youre embarrassed." He said.

            "Well I just never heard of a guy that pays that much attention to my personal scent." I said. "Well we're wasting time lets get going."

            I was about to walk away when Hiei grabbed me and pulled me against his chest. He kissed me running his tongue all around my mouth. What I thought was supposed to be a passionate moment was just Hiei experimenting. He pulled away and let me go. He looked up with his eyes and rolled his tongue around his mouth as if he was messing with the taste.

            "You are in heat." He said finally looking down at me.

            I felt the heat running through my body. I knew I must have looked really stupid right then. I didnt know what to do. Did he want me to feel so embarrassed right now? If he did he won.

            "Well lets get going." He said walking ahead of me.

            "Man what a jerk what a great kisser." I thought to myself. I looked at Hiei who was walking with his coat over his shoulder. Personally I was getting cold as the night got darker but he was in a thin white tank top and black pants and seemed fine.

            I started to breathe in deep and I finally sneezed. I rubbed my nose and sniffed. "We must be getting closer." I said rubbing my hands up and down my bare arms.

            "Hardly. This is the outcast of Koorime. If we dont find shelter soon we might be stuck in the middle of a snow storm." Hiei said looking back at me for a second. He looked ahead. "Lets camp out there till the storm dies down."

            I couldnt see what he was pointing to but I tried to keep up with him. I looked ahead and he seemed to get farther away as the storm started to get heavier. "Hiei!" I tried yelling through the storm. I tripped and fell in the snow. "Hiei!"

            I thought he had left me when I felt him pick me up. He wrapped his coat around me and kept me close to his chest. I shivered as he started to run making the wind hit against me more. He reached a small cave and walked to the very back of it.

            I couldnt see anything, but I felt him sit down and hold me closer to his chest. I snuggled as close to him as I could get. "I cant be-believe how cold it go-got." I stuttered feeling my teeth chatter.

"Sshhh." He murmured. He kissed the top of my head. "Just keep close and we can keep some what warmer."

"Aren't you cold without your coat?" I asked feeling a lot warmer now.

"Hn. No I'm fine." Hiei said rudely.

I sat up and slipped his cloak-type jacket over both of us bringing our chests together. I couldnt see him but I felt his gaze. I felt his ragged breath against my neck as he grabbed my butt and brought me up on his lap so I could wrap my legs around his waist. I leaned in and brought my mouth to his just for our lips to touch as he undid my button on my pants. I bit his lower lip gently as he pulled my leather pants down over my rump. I unwrapped my legs for a second so he could pull my pants off along with my undergarment. I covered my mouth over his and kissed him hungrily. I pulled off his simple nylon-type pants and directed him into me.

No longer cold as Hiei laid back and grabbed my hips as I rode him. I could feel his long length slip farther and farther as I got faster and faster.

Hiei sat up and wrapped his arms around me so his head was to my chest and my hands were on the back of his head. He pushed me back gently and pinned me to the ground moving back and forth. His hips were in rhythm with mine as I heard his deep raged breath.

I arched my back as an orgasm hit me. I breathed deeply as Hieis cum hit mine.

For hours we took turns taking lead never stopping. Finally I couldnt keep going as my seventh orgasm hit.

Hiei pulled out of me breathing heavy as he lay down next to me. He wrapped his arms around me and put his head on my shoulder with his chest to my back. He kissed my shoulder lightly with sweet butterfly kisses. He kissed my cheek while playing with my nipples. "You were a virgin." He said resting his chin on my shoulder.

My eyes widened and I turned around to press my chest to his. "How'd you know?" I asked feeling a little scared for some reason.

"I can tell." Hiei said into my ear before planting more kisses on my neck. "Now youre mine."

I thought about that phrase for a moment. "What do you mean?" I asked.

"We're now mates. How do humans say it married like." He said. He started to suck on my neck.

"Just because I slept with you?" I asked. I was shocked at how that sounded. I felt for sure that Hiei hated me right then.

"Had sex with you yes. Its too late to turn back now. Rather you like it or not." Hiei said.

"You want to be with me?" I asked feeling very special at the moment.

"I wouldnt have claimed you if I didnt." Hiei said.

I smiled and at that moment felt like I was the center of the universe. I yawned and snuggled closer to Hiei. "Who would have known you could be so gentle and passionate." I said into his neck.

"Hn. Is that what you call it?" He asked hysterically. 

            I yawned again. "What would you call it?" I asked sleepily.

            "I'd call it plain out and simple; hot, sweaty, sex." He said.

            "It was great." I said before closing my eyes and going to sleep.

Chapter 3

1

            I woke up to be fully dressed and very cold. I was in Hiei's arms as he fought to walk through the snow. I felt my teeth chatter as I looked up at Hiei's red eyes. I noticed that he was in nothing but his white tank top again and that I was wearing his black jacket.

            "Hiei. Take your jacket." I said looking at him.

He flashed me a fanged smirk. "I don't need it. But look, were almost there." He said as he set me down on my feat.

I looked at him and the goose bumps that were appearing on his arms. I took his cloak type jacket and slipped it over his head so we were both in it again. I watched as he gave me that curious look again. I felt him slip his arm around my waist and start pushing through the snow again.

The storm had died down and soon we came to a huge mountain that seemed to be made out of ice.

At this point Hiei had completely slipped out of his coat.

            We walked through the ice cavern being careful not to make any noise for the ice cycles above us looked really sharp.

            I tip toed very quietly along the iced ground. "Hiei." I whispered. "This way."

            Hiei walked over to me and looked down the small corridor. "At least its not ice." He whispered as he got down on all fours.  

            I did like wise and we crawled into the small corridor. As I reached the end I saw a bright light.

            Hiei offered his hand after he crawled to help me out.

            I gladly excepted and as I got out I looked at the room that was full of ice crystals. "They're beautiful." I said picking up a spear shaped crystal. I dug through my backpack until I came across a small cooler. I opened the lid and set the crystal inside as Hiei picked up some crystals of his own.

            After filling up at least six hand-held miniature coolers, we crawled back through the small corridor. I was the first to crawl out of the hole this time, and when I did a green hand reached out and grabbed me. Whoever it was pinned me to his chest and covered my mouth. I tried calling Hiei's name to warn him but all I could manage was quiet mumbles. I watched the small hole, waiting for Hiei to come out, but nothing happened.

            "Where is he girl." The person that was holding me asked.

            "Right here!" Hiei yelled from behind us.

            The green demon that held me threw me down on the ground and blocked Hiei's katana with his own. The demon pushed Hiei back sending him flying into an ice-covered rock, shattering it.

            "Hiei!" I yelled running over to him. I was stopped in my tracks as an ice cycle fell in front of me. It sent me down on my back just to have another land right behind me. I got up and tried running to Hiei all while dodging the huge ice cycles that fell from the ceiling. I finally reached Hiei just for him to get right back up on his feat.

            "Ayame go. "Hiei said not even glancing at me.

            "No, I can help." I protested.

            "Now!" Hiei yelled charging at the demon.

            I was going to obey but then stopped as the green demon started to laugh and he duplicated right in front of me. I drew my katana but he knocked it out of my hands. I snarled and quickly pulled out my Caster. I took one shot just to hit him in the shoulder. I was going to take another when he was nursing the wound but it wouldnt shoot. I ran and hid behind a rock as Hiei charged at the demon and took his katana slicing his arm off.

            Hiei backed up and his pupils shrunk as the demon started to grow another arm.

I opened my Caster and pulled out the empty shells. I looked inside my bag for more bullets but couldnt find any. I must have forgot them when I was looking for my special bullet. I swallowed hard and decided it was the only way. I put the black bullet in the Caster and pointed it at the demon. I took the shot and hit his stomach. I smiled as my vision blurred and I past out.

            I opened my eyes to see Hiei glaring down at me with his red eyes burning. "Is he dead?" I murmured. My voice was raspy and I could feel that my throat was dry.

            "Hn. I didnt ask for your help." Hiei snarled.

            "Yeah I know, but I just wanted to prove to you that I'm not helpless." I managed. I coughed hard and winced at the burning in my throat.

            "Hn. Of course you're not. I knew that." Hiei said still glaring at me, mad that I had disobeyed him.

            "Then how come you didn't let me help?" I asked.

            Hiei looked away. "What happened?" He asked as if oblivious to the question I asked.

            "I used the bullet I asked you to look for. It drains the life energy of the person using it and adds it to the blast." I explained. I looked around and noticed we were in my apartment. "What are we doing here?"

        "Actually we just got here not to long ago."Hiei said.

          "What about the crystals?"I asked.

           "Come on and well give them to Yusuke and the others." Hiei said.

           "What! You didnt see Yusuke yet!"I yelled sitting up from Hiei's lap.

           "No. I told you. We just got here."Hiei said.

           "Well come on. I said jumping up."At that moment I noticed that I had no clothes on. A blush crept across my face and I walked over to my closet. "Where are my clothes?"

           "They were blood soaked... I never really gotten to see your body"Hiei said with a fanged smirk.

            I dug through my closet and found a pair of tight wranglers and a red spaghetti strap belly top. I pulled on a pair of black army boots and grabbed my Caster off of the dresser along with the bullets I had forgotten on the first trip.

           "Their back!"Kagami cheered jumping up from Kuramaslapas I walked into the room of the hospital. Kagami and Kurama we dressed like doctors and seemed to be very happy.

           "We got the antidote."I said handing my bag to Kagami. I watched as she tossed it to Yusuke. I walked up to Kagami and whispered very quietly, "I have something to tell you later."

           "Me too."Kagami whispered back.

            I smiled and thought about what she was going to tell me. I had a pretty good idea.

           "Guys come quick!"I heard Yusuke yell from one of the hospitals rooms.

            We all ran in the room and saw Yusuke with a crystal in his hands."How are we supposed to melt these!"He exclaimed.

            Kagami and I turned to each other and smiled. We walked over to him and took the crystal. We each powered up a small flaming ball and put the crystal to it. We watched as the crystals liquid dripped into a bowl.

            After only twenty minutes we finally finished injecting the liquid into every one that was in the hospital.

            We all went to Koenma and told him about our job well done and Hiei and I found out that Kagami and Kurama had defeated the one that had spread the virus to all the humans.

           "I would like to talk to Ayame privately please."Koenma said.

            I swallowed hard and watched every one exit the room, shutting the door behind them.

           "I saw everything."Koenma began."Nicely done."

           "How could you? It was totally dark!"I said with the heat rising in my head.

           "Who said it was dark from where I were watching you?"Koenma said."Plus I'm very surprised that you had managed to get Hiei to like you. That was something I would have never suspected."

           "Well"I grumbled not knowing what to say.

           "Ill be watching you, but for now tell your sister to come in here please."Koenma said.

            I nodded my head and walked out of the room with a blush.

"UhKagamiKoenma wishes to talk to you."I said letting Kagami pass me, shutting the door when she walked in.

           "What was that about?"Kuwabara asked suspiciously.

           "Uhnothingjust something that happened."I said looking at Hiei helplessly. I put my ear up to the door just to have Kagami open it. I snapped back and looked at her. She had a big blush across her face.

           "What happened?"I asked.

           "He needs to stop ease-dropping."Kagami said.

           "Thats for sure."I said. I thought for a moment and remembered back to when Kagami was sitting on Kuramas lap. I smiled devilishly. She seduced Kurama. I thought.

           "Well were heading home."Kuwabara said grabbing Yukinas hand.

           "Us too."Yusuke said motioning for Keiko to follow him.

           "See you later."I said to Kagami and Kurama."Hiei and I are going out to eat."

            I looked over my shoulder and winked at Kagami and Kurama before walking off with Hiei ahead of me.
